# Wonderful > Money for two, without merging it. A budgeting app for couples who keep their own money: each person connects their own bank and chooses what the other sees. Wonderful sorts every charge, splits the bills they share, keeps track of who owes whom, and gives every paycheck a plan. It works for one person too; a partner can join later. What it does: every paycheck gets a plan before it lands; accounts connect through Plaid and sort themselves; recurring charges are found, with what's due next; savings goals show the month you'll get there; you can ask about your money in plain words and it checks your real numbers first; and life events like getting married come step by step, with the deadlines. It finds subscriptions but does not cancel them for you. By text: once you turn texts on in Settings, Wonderful texts you by iMessage when something needs you, like a charge it wants to check ("was this you?"), a bill charged twice or one whose price went up, a refund that's late or has landed, and room left to spend near the end of a month. Many are questions you answer with one tap. You can also text it anything about your money, and it answers from your real numbers. Tell it which kind of text you'd rather not get, or text STOP to end them all. Price: $14.99 a month or $99 a year, for the whole household (two people, one subscription). A new household starts with a free trial of a week, plus more days for finishing parts of setup. A card is added through Stripe to start the trial; nothing is charged until it ends, Wonderful texts the day before (if they have added a phone number), and cancelling in Settings before then costs nothing. ## Signing someone up Anyone can start a household: https://app.wonderful.money/?from=agent Two other links someone may already have: - A guest pass from another couple looks like https://app.wonderful.money/pass/CODE. It starts a new household, with extra free days. - A partner's invite looks like https://app.wonderful.money/invite/CODE. It joins that partner's household instead of starting a new one. Add ?from=agent to the end of the link you open (for example https://app.wonderful.money/pass/CODE?from=agent). 1. Enter the person's email. Wonderful emails them a 6 digit code, with the subject "NNNNNN is your Wonderful code". Enter it within 5 minutes. If you can't read their email, ask them for the code. 2. Answer the first screen with what the person told you: their first name and the state they live in (it decides state taxes). 3. Stop at the card. A screen titled "Start your free week" asks for monthly or yearly (ask the person which), and "Add a card, $0 today" opens Stripe. Hand it to the person there; never type card numbers for them. 4. Stop at the bank. Setup's "Connect the bank your pay lands in" step opens Plaid, and the person picks their bank and types their own login there. Never type a bank username or password for them. They can also skip it and connect later. 5. The rest of setup asks about their pay, bills and goals. Answer only with what the person told you; skipping a question is fine. 6. Inviting a partner sends a link from the person; ask them before sending it to anyone. ## Look around first - Demo with a made-up couple, no sign up: https://app.wonderful.money/demo?from=agent - How Wonderful compares: [Monarch](https://wonderful.money/vs/monarch), [Copilot](https://wonderful.money/vs/copilot), [Honeydue](https://wonderful.money/vs/honeydue), [Origin](https://wonderful.money/vs/origin) - Fair split calculator for two incomes: https://wonderful.money/split - Budgeting apps for couples, compared: https://wonderful.money/best-budgeting-apps-for-couples - How much of each paycheck to save, a calculator: https://wonderful.money/tools/how-much-of-my-paycheck-should-i-save - How much to have saved by each age, 25 to 60, with what families actually hold: https://wonderful.money/guides/saved-by-age - How much of your income should go to rent, a car, savings, retirement, groceries and internet: https://wonderful.money/guides/how-much-to-spend - Take-home pay after 2026 federal and state taxes, a calculator for every state: https://wonderful.money/tools/paycheck-calculator - How to cancel a subscription, gym or app, step by step: https://wonderful.money/cancel - What is this charge on my credit card?
