Terms of service

In effect from October 27, 2026.

What these terms cover

These terms are between you and Wonderful, and cover the app at app.wonderful.money and this site. By making an account you agree to them. How Wonderful handles your data is in the privacy policy.

Your account

You need to be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms. You sign in with a code sent to your email, so keep that email account safe: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

Connect only accounts that are yours, or that you share and have the other owner's permission to connect. The information you enter about yourself should be true; the app's numbers are only as good as what it's given.

Households

A household is up to two people. Whoever starts it can invite a partner, who gets their own login. Each of you chooses, account by account, how much the other sees, as the privacy policy describes. What either of you marks as shared, you both see.

One subscription covers the whole household.

The free trial and paying

A new household starts with a free trial: a week, plus more days for finishing parts of setup, as the app shows. To start it, you pick monthly or yearly and add a card through Stripe. Nothing is charged when you add it. When the trial ends, the card is charged for the plan you picked, $14.99 a month or $99 a year for the household, plus any sales tax that applies, and it renews from then on until cancelled. If you have added a phone number in Settings, Wonderful texts you the day before the first charge. Cancel any time before the trial ends, in Settings, and you aren't charged at all.

A household that started before cards were asked for keeps its free guest pass, with no card. When the guest pass ends, you can keep using Wonderful by subscribing at the same prices. Until then, you can still see everything you had, but the app stops changing and banks stop syncing. If you have added a phone number, Wonderful texts you a few days before the guest pass ends; if nobody subscribes, a week after it ends Wonderful disconnects your banks and removes the transactions they brought in. Your plan and settings stay, and you can connect again after subscribing. The same goes when a subscription ends.

Payments go through Stripe. A subscription renews on its own each month or year until it is cancelled. You can cancel any time in Settings; it stays on until the end of the period you paid for and doesn't renew after that. Wonderful doesn't refund part of a period. If a price changes, Wonderful will tell you before your next renewal at the new price.

Giving another couple a guest pass

Each household has a link to give other couples. A couple who starts a household of their own with it gets extra free days. Once that couple has paid for a month, the household that gave the link earns a month: days on its own guest pass, or a month's price off its next bill. The app shows how many couples a link can let in and how many months a household can earn.

The rewards are never cash and can't be sold or traded. They aren't given for letting yourself in, for a household that shares a person with yours, or for links shared through spam or made up accounts. Wonderful may change or end the program; rewards already earned are kept.

What Wonderful is, and isn't

Wonderful reads your accounts to sort your spending, split what you share, and give general information from published sources, each linked where it's used. It can't move money.

It isn't a bank, a financial advisor, or a tax advisor. Nothing in it is a recommendation made for you personally. Decisions about your money are yours. Check anything important against your own records, your bank, or the source it links.

Bank data comes through Plaid and the banks themselves, and can be late, missing or wrong. Wonderful works to keep it right and to say when a connection breaks, but can't promise it always will be.

If you connect an AI app to Wonderful (like Claude or ChatGPT), it reads your Wonderful data as you, and what it tells you is that app's answer, not Wonderful's. Check anything important against Wonderful itself. Your use of that app is under its own terms.

Using it fairly

Don't use Wonderful to break the law, to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, to get around its limits or the guest pass, or to use a connected app to copy data out of Wonderful in bulk, or to overload, copy or take apart the app. Wonderful may pause or close an account that does.

Ending it

You can disconnect banks, leave a household, or delete it in Settings at any time; the privacy policy says what each deletes. If Wonderful ever shuts down, it will tell you ahead of time and give you time to take your data out.

The legal part

Wonderful is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Wonderful makes no promises beyond these terms, and isn't responsible for losses that come from decisions made using it or from data a bank or Plaid got wrong. To the extent the law allows, Wonderful's total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid it in the 12 months before the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado. If they change in a way that matters, Wonderful will tell you before the change takes effect; using it after that means you accept the new terms.
