How to cancel Bumble

How to cancel a Bumble Boost or Premium subscription in your profile payment settings, why deleting the app does not cancel it, and what it says on refunds.

Bumble's terms say you can cancel or change your payment method in the payment settings under your profile. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel the subscription, and subscriptions renew unless you cancel first.

Cancel Bumble in the Bumble app

Open Bumble and go to your profile.
Open the payment settings.
Cancel your subscription.

This applies when Bumble bills you directly. For Apple or Google, use that store instead.

Before you cancel Bumble

The terms say your subscription will renew at the end of the period unless you cancel.
The terms say that deleting your account or the app does not cancel your subscription.
The terms say that, generally, charges are nonrefundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods, and no refunds for renewals.
Outside the US the terms allow refund requests within 6 days for weekly plans and within 14 days for monthly or longer plans.
The terms allow cancellation without penalty before midnight of the third business day after you subscribe in certain US states.

After you cancel

Keep the confirmation email or screenshot. Then watch your bank or card for the next billing date: if Bumble charges you again after you cancelled, ask Bumble for a refund first, and if that fails, dispute the charge with your card. The guide to disputing a charge has the steps and the deadlines.
