How to cancel Monarch Money
How to cancel a Monarch Money subscription from Monarch's help center: web, Apple or Google Play billing, the household admin rule, and what happens to data.

Cancel Monarch Money on the web (billed by Monarch)
- Go to the Billing Settings page (web only).
- Click Manage subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
Only the household admin can cancel. If you don't see the option, ask the admin.
Cancel Monarch Money on an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
- Open the Settings app and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions and select Monarch.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancel Monarch Money on Android (billed by Google Play)
- Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile picture.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Monarch from the list of subscriptions.
Before you cancel Monarch Money
- After you cancel, you can still use Monarch for the time remaining on your subscription.
- Subscriptions cannot be paused or frozen.
- Cancelling does not delete your data. After 30 days, your financial connections disconnect and no new data syncs while you are unsubscribed.
- If Monarch is not in your Apple or Google subscription list, you may be on a family plan, and the family manager has to cancel.
- Monarch staff cannot see App Store subscription details, so Apple handles App Store cancellations and refunds.
- A household member who is not the admin can remove themselves under Settings, Security, Delete Monarch account. See /cancel/apple-subscriptions and /cancel/google-play for those stores.
After you cancel
Keep the confirmation email or screenshot. Then watch your bank or card for the next billing date: if Monarch Money charges you again after you cancelled, ask Monarch Money for a refund first, and if that fails, dispute the charge with your card.
