How to cancel Roku subscriptions

How to cancel a subscription billed through Roku on your TV or at my.roku.com, which ones you cancel with the service instead, and what happens to time paid.

Checked October 22, 2026

If Roku bills you, go to my.roku.com/subscriptions, pick the subscription and turn off auto-renew, or press the Star button on the app on your Roku and choose Manage subscription. A few services, such as Disney+, Hulu and Sling TV, are canceled with the service even when Roku collects the money.

Cancel Roku subscriptions on the Roku website

  1. Go to my.roku.com/subscriptions and sign in.
  2. Under Active subscriptions, select the subscription.
  3. Select Manage subscription.
  4. Select Turn off auto-renew.

Cancel Roku subscriptions on your Roku device

  1. Press Home on your remote.
  2. Highlight the app or channel.
  3. Press the Star button on your remote.
  4. Select Manage subscription, then Turn off auto-renew.

If you set a Roku PIN, you will be asked for it.

Before you cancel Roku subscriptions

  • These steps are for subscriptions billed and managed by Roku, such as The Roku Channel's. Roku's page gives phone-app steps only for Howdy (Account, then Subscriptions, then Manage subscription).
  • Disney+, Hulu and Sling TV billed through Roku are managed by the service, so contact the service directly. Disney+ or Hulu may ask for your CIB, which is on your Roku invoice.
  • If you subscribed to something like Apple TV+, YouTube TV or Spotify directly, cancel with that provider and not Roku.
  • After auto-renew is off, you can keep watching until the end of your billing period.
  • Roku says it does not give partial-term refunds.
  • You can cancel any time. For a free trial, cancel on or before the last day of the trial to avoid charges.
  • Roku charges show on a statement as Roku, Roku for and a name, or The Roku Channel.

After you cancel

Keep the confirmation email or screenshot. Then watch your bank or card for the next billing date: if Roku subscriptions charges you again after you cancelled, ask Roku subscriptions for a refund first, and if that fails, dispute the charge with your card. The guide to disputing a charge has the steps and the deadlines.
