The short version
Quicken Simplifi has no free plan and no free trial. It is billed yearly only, and its page shows a first-year offer of $3.99 a month for orders placed directly with Quicken by November 26, 2026. Purchases made directly on Quicken.com come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. A second person can share the one space without paying for a second subscription.

Quicken Simplifi pricing
Simplifi sells one product in one way: an annual subscription. The page shows its price per month, but you are billed once a year. These are the two figures the product page shows side by side.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | A month, paid yearly | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Simplifi, first-year offer[1] | $3.99 | — | — | Billed annually. The page says the final price may differ from the monthly price times 12, and the offer is for the first year when ordered directly from Quicken by November 26, 2026. |
| Simplifi, price shown beside the offer[1] | $6.99 | — | — | Billed annually. Shown next to $3.99 on the page without a label. The subscription renews at "the then-current rates". |
The first row is the offer. The second is the figure the page prints next to it, and the page doesn't label it, so we can't say for certain whether it is the regular price. What the page does say is that the subscription renews at "the then-current rates". Don't assume the second year costs what the first does, and check the renewal price before it renews.
Only annual plans are offered, and renewals are charged at the full standard price.[5]
The current offer, and when it ends
Per the product page, the offer is for the first year when ordered directly from Quicken, and it runs until November 26, 2026. The page also says the final price may differ from the monthly price times 12. At $3.99 a month, that is about $48 for the year before tax and any difference the page mentions.
Two things follow. If you plan to buy, the offer has a date, so decide before it. And the offer is for the first year only, so the price you should compare with other apps for the long run is the renewal price, which Quicken's page doesn't give.
What you get for the price
Everything in Simplifi is in the one subscription, including support. From Quicken's pages:
- A spending plan that shows what you can spend per day.[1]
- Projected cash flow with "what-if" scenarios.[1]
- Tracks upcoming bills and subscriptions and shows all your subscriptions.[1]
- Automatically categorizes transactions and connects to over 14,000 financial institutions.[1]
- Savings goals, reports and insights.[1]
- Investment tracking with cost basis, performance analysis and real-time quotes.[1]
- A retirement planner.[1]
- Quicken Assist, an in-product AI chat that uses your Simplifi data; Quicken says no actions are taken without your review and approval.[2]
Good
Not so good
- No free plan and no free trial.[5]
- Annual billing only, and renewal is at the then-current rate, not the first-year offer.[1][5]
- Only one shared space and one additional member; no way to share only some accounts.[3]
- A person invited to share must accept on the web app; signing in on the mobile app prompts them to subscribe.[3]
No free trial, but a 30-day guarantee
"While we do not offer a free trial" there is a 30-day money-back guarantee from the original purchase date, for purchases made directly on Quicken.com.[5]
This is the answer to the two searches people make most, "does Simplifi have a free trial" and "is Simplifi free". The guarantee is the nearest thing to a trial, and it works as a trial only if you buy directly from Quicken and ask within the 30 days. The cost of testing it is a charge you then have to get back.
No free plan. Simplifi "requires an active annual subscription"; without one you cannot view your data or add transactions.[5]
Some buyers wish there had been a trial. A June 2026 App Store reviewer says so after having trouble linking accounts, and another in September 2026 describes waiting almost a month for a fix on a main bank. If your bank is a less common one, link it and look at the data before the 30 days run out.
“I’ve had issues linking accounts I wish there had been a trial so I didn’t waste money.”Read it where it was said ↗
Cancelling and getting a refund
"Refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchasing a Quicken Simplifi subscription." Refunds for Apple App Store and Google Play purchases are decided by those stores.[4]
Cancelling turns off auto-renewal and keeps access until the billing period ends; a refund ends access immediately.[4][5]
The practical rule is to buy from Quicken.com, not through the App Store or Google Play. A March 2026 reviewer says Apple denied a refund that Quicken's own policy would have given on a direct purchase.
“Don’t subscribe through the app store. Quicken offers a “30-Day Guarantee: You can request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase or annual renewal.” Apple doesn’t honor this policy and denies refund requests.”Read it where it was said ↗
Coupons and promo codes
We found no coupon code on Quicken's pages, so we list none. The one deal on the product page is the first-year price. If you see a code on a coupon site, check it at checkout; we won't print one we haven't seen on Quicken's own pages.
What it costs for two people
Spaces sharing: you can share your data with one additional member. They need their own Quicken ID but not their own subscription, and must accept the invite on the web app.[1][3]
So for a couple the cost is one subscription. The limits are in how it shares. Sharing is full access to the one shared space. Sharing specific accounts or features is not available yet, and the article says it "may be added" in the future. You can remove a member at any time.[3] If you each want to choose what the other sees, that is a gap; our list of budgeting apps for couples shows which apps allow it.

Rocket Money vs Quicken Simplifi
People search these two together because both are paid apps that find your subscriptions and track bills. They differ on price, on a free plan, and on what they do for you.
Side by side
| Quicken Simplifi | Rocket Money | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $3.99/mo billed annually as a first-year offer; renews at the then-current rate | Free; Premium is a price you pick, typically $7 to $14 a month; Premium+ $15 a month |
| Free plan | No | Yes, on mobile |
| Trial | None; 30-day money-back on direct purchases | 7 days on Premium, per the help center |
| Subscriptions | Tracks bills and shows all your subscriptions | Finds them; Premium cancels them for you |
| Two people | One shared space, one extra member, no second subscription | Account sharing with a partner is a Premium feature |
Pick Rocket Money if you want to start free, or you want a team to cancel subscriptions for you. Its Premium plan does that. The cost is the price uncertainty: its learn article says typically $7 to $14 a month, the App Store lists purchases from $2.99 to $9.99, and October 2026 reviewers say they were charged $15 after picking a lower price. Bill negotiation takes 35% to 60% of the first year's savings on Free and Premium.
Pick Simplifi if you want a plan for the month and projected cash flow in one paid app, and a partner can share it. It doesn't cancel subscriptions; it shows them. There is no free plan, so you pay up front and rely on the 30-day guarantee. See Rocket Money alternatives for more on why people leave it, and our best subscription managers for apps built around that job.
“I selected 7 dollars per month and it still charged me for 15”Read it where it was said ↗
Is Quicken Simplifi worth it?
At a first-year $3.99 a month it is among the cheapest paid budgeting apps in the chart, and every support channel comes with it: phone Monday to Friday, live chat seven days a week, an AI assistant after chat hours, and a community forum. It covers budgeting, bills, investments and a retirement planner in one subscription. One March 2026 reviewer says it "works very very well for the cost."
“Really nice budgeting, finance, and tracking tool. The setup takes some time and it isn’t perfect, but works very very well for the cost.”Read it where it was said ↗
It is a weaker fit if:
- Your bank doesn't connect cleanly. 2026 reviewers report main banks disconnecting and long waits for fixes.
- You want to test before paying. There is no trial.
- You rely on recategorizing rules. A May 2026 reviewer says the option to add a rule was removed.
- You want to choose what a partner sees. Sharing is all or nothing.
“They removed the option to add a rule when renaming/recatogorizing a transaction. They make a lot of mistakes with categories and now it’s a FULLY manual Process...”Read it where it was said ↗

Where Wonderful fits
We make Wonderful, so read this as a disclosure first. It costs $14.99 a month or $99 a year for the whole household, with a free week to start and no free plan after it. That is more than Simplifi's first-year price. What the extra buys, for a couple, is that each of you connects your own bank and chooses what the other sees, account by account, and shared costs are split with a running total of who owes whom. It finds recurring charges and subscriptions, but it doesn't cancel them.
It also has no iPhone or Android app yet, gives no investment advice, and has no store ratings. If you are one person who wants a cheap first year and a retirement planner, Simplifi is the closer fit.

Simplifi's product page shows $3.99 a month, billed annually, as a first-year offer for orders made directly from Quicken by November 26, 2026. Next to it the page shows $6.99 a month without a label. The subscription renews at the then-current rates.

Is Quicken Simplifi free?
No. Simplifi requires an active annual subscription. Without one you can't view your data or add transactions.
Is there a Quicken Simplifi coupon or promo code?
The pages we read list no coupon code. What they list is the first-year offer of $3.99 a month, billed annually, for orders placed directly with Quicken by November 26, 2026. We don't print codes we haven't seen on Quicken's own pages.
Can I pay for Simplifi monthly?
No. Only annual plans are offered. The price is shown per month but billed once a year, and renewals are charged at the full standard price.
How do I cancel Quicken Simplifi and get a refund?
Cancelling turns off auto-renewal and keeps your access until the billing period ends. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase, and a refund ends access immediately. Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are decided by those stores.
Can two people share one Simplifi subscription?
Yes, in one shared space. You can share your data with one additional member, who needs their own Quicken ID but not their own subscription, and who must accept the invite on the web app. The sharing is full access: you can't share only some accounts yet.
Is Simplifi cheaper than Rocket Money?
On the first-year offer, yes: about $48 for the year against $84 to $168 for Rocket Money Premium, which the company says is typically $7 to $14 a month, or $180 for Premium+ at $15 a month. After the first year Simplifi renews at its then-current rate, which its page doesn't state.
Which is better, Rocket Money or Simplifi?
They do different jobs. Rocket Money has a free plan and, on Premium, cancels subscriptions and negotiates bills for you. Simplifi has no free plan and builds a spending plan with cash flow projections. See the side-by-side below.
Should I buy Simplifi through the App Store?
The 30-day guarantee applies to purchases made directly on Quicken.com, and Apple and Google decide refunds for their own stores. One March 2026 App Store reviewer says Apple denied a refund request. If a refund matters to you, buy directly.
