How to cancel Hulu from Hulu's own subscriber agreement: where to click, the 11:59 p.m. Eastern deadline, refunds, and what to do if Roku or Apple bills you.

Cancel Hulu online
- Go to www.hulu.com/account.
- Log in.
- Click Cancel.
This is the route Hulu's subscriber agreement gives for a subscription Hulu bills.
Cancel Hulu if a third party bills you
- Find who bills you (an app store, for example).
- Follow that company's cancellation instructions.
The subscriber agreement says to follow the cancellation instructions set out by the third party.
Before you cancel Hulu
- To avoid the next term's charge, cancel before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the day before your term ends.
- Cancelling usually takes effect at the end of the current term, free trial or promotion. For a free trial or a promotional code it may take effect right away.
- Hulu says it does not refund or credit terms you only partly used, unless the law requires it. It may make exceptions case by case.
- If you cancel after failed charges, or move your billing to a third party, you may lose account credits.
- After a promotion, billing goes to the regular price unless you cancel before the promotion ends. Hulu says it won't send a separate notice when a free trial ends, unless the law requires one.
- If you pay through Roku, Apple or Google Play, see /cancel/roku, /cancel/apple-subscriptions and /cancel/google-play. The agreement lists no phone number for cancelling.
After you cancel
Keep the confirmation email or screenshot. Then watch your bank or card for the next billing date: if Hulu charges you again after you cancelled, ask Hulu for a refund first, and if that fails, dispute the charge with your card. The guide to disputing a charge has the steps and the deadlines.
