How to cancel HBO Max
How to cancel HBO Max from its own help center: the steps on the web, what happens to the time you have left, and cancelling through Apple, Roku or Amazon.

Cancel HBO Max online (billed by HBO Max)
- Sign in at HBOMax.com/subscription.
- Choose Cancel Your Subscription.
- Confirm, and note your expiration date.
Cancel HBO Max on an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
- Open Settings and choose your name.
- Choose Subscriptions.
- Select HBO Max and tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancel HBO Max on Android (billed by Google Play)
- In the Play Store, go to your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select HBO Max.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
Cancel HBO Max on Roku
- Go to my.roku.com/subscriptions.
- Find HBO Max and choose Manage subscription.
- Turn off auto-renew and confirm.
Before you cancel HBO Max
- To find who bills you: on the web go to HBOMax.com/subscription, in the app choose your profile then Subscription, and on a TV open Settings then Subscription. The top of the screen shows the biller.
- Your subscription renews until you cancel it, and deleting the app does not cancel it.
- You can stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.
- If you have the Extra Member Add-On, it ends when your base plan expires. For a subscription billed by HBO Max, unused add-on days are refunded on a prorated basis.
- The help article does not mention a cancellation fee. It does not cover 12-month plans.

After you cancel
