How to cancel YouTube Premium

How to cancel YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium from YouTube Help: steps on a computer, iPhone and Android, plus Apple billing, pausing and refunds.

On a computer, go to youtube.com/paid_memberships, select Manage membership, then Deactivate, and confirm. Your benefits continue until the end of the billing period. If Apple bills you, cancel in your Apple account instead.

Cancel YouTube Premium on a computer

Go to youtube.com/paid_memberships.
Select Manage membership.
Select Deactivate.
Select Continue.
Choose a cancellation reason, then select Next.
Select Yes, cancel.

Cancel YouTube Premium on Android

Tap your profile picture, then Paid memberships.
Select the membership you want to end.
Tap Continue.
Choose a reason, then tap Next.
Tap Yes, cancel.

Cancel YouTube Premium on an iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

Open Settings and go to Purchases and memberships.
Select the membership.
Choose Manage Apple Subscriptions.
Select your membership again and tap Cancel.

Before you cancel YouTube Premium

After you cancel you won't be charged again unless you re-subscribe, and benefits continue until the end of the billing period.
If you joined from the YouTube iOS app, Apple bills you and you cancel through your Apple account. See /cancel/apple-subscriptions.
If you signed up through Google Play, follow Google Play's cancel steps. An iPhone user billed through Google must cancel from a non-iOS device, such as a computer. See /cancel/google-play.
Pausing and resuming is not available to people billed through Apple.
Cancelling stops renewal but does not trigger a refund, and you are not refunded for the time between cancelling and the end of the membership. Partly used prepaid plans, such as annual plans, are not refundable.
Apple-billed purchases are refunded by Apple under Apple's policies.

After you cancel

Keep the confirmation email or screenshot. Then watch your bank or card for the next billing date: if YouTube Premium charges you again after you cancelled, ask YouTube Premium for a refund first, and if that fails, dispute the charge with your card.
