Before you cancel Claude Pro
- Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep paid access until then. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date.
- New monthly API credits that come with Max and Team plans stop when you cancel. Credits you already have stay usable until they expire, and they can't be refunded.
- Anthropic's default is that all payments are non-refundable, except where the Consumer Terms of Service or applicable law provide otherwise.
- To ask for a refund on web or desktop, choose Get help, then Send us a message, then Claude Refund Request. If you're eligible, you continue in the messenger to cancel and refund your plan.
- In the EEA and UK you may be able to get a refund within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are prorated based on your usage.
- A refund request alone doesn't cancel an App Store subscription, and only Apple can refund those, at its discretion (reportaproblem.apple.com). See /cancel/apple-subscriptions and /cancel/google-play.
After you cancel
Keep the confirmation email or screenshot. Then watch your bank or card for the next billing date: if Claude Pro charges you again after you cancelled, ask Claude Pro for a refund first, and if that fails, dispute the charge with your card. The guide to disputing a charge has the steps and the deadlines.
