How to cancel Super Duolingo from Duolingo's help center: the app, web and phone-settings steps, what happens to your streak and progress, and refunds.

Cancel Duolingo Super in the Duolingo app (iOS or Android)
- Open the Duolingo app and tap the Super icon at the top of the home screen.
- Tap Settings (the gear icon), then Manage subscription.
- Select Cancel subscription and proceed.
- Confirm through Google Play Store, the App Store or Alipay.
Cancel Duolingo Super on the web
- Sign in to your Duolingo account in a desktop browser.
- Click your profile picture at the top of the home screen and choose Settings.
- Select Super Duolingo.
- Select Cancel subscription and confirm.
Cancel Duolingo Super if you subscribed in your phone's settings
- Android: submit a support request to Duolingo.
- iOS: follow Apple's instructions linked from Duolingo's help article.
Before you cancel Duolingo Super
- Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
- Your streak and learning progress are not affected when you cancel.
- You can use Super features for the remainder of the subscription period, and you are no longer billed automatically.
- Cancelling does not refund past payments, and charged fees can't be prorated by cancellation date.
- Duolingo says it cannot access the iOS App Store or resolve issues with that service. See /cancel/apple-subscriptions and /cancel/google-play.
- You can reactivate your subscription anytime. A Family Plan has its own help article, which we did not read.
After you cancel
Keep the confirmation email or screenshot. Then watch your bank or card for the next billing date: if Duolingo Super charges you again after you cancelled, ask Duolingo Super for a refund first, and if that fails, dispute the charge with your card.
