How to cancel Google Play Pass

How to cancel Google Play Pass in the Play Store app, from Google Play Help, with free trial timing, the 48-hour refund note and what family members lose.

Open the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Play Pass, and tap Cancel subscription. You keep access until the period you've paid for ends.

Cancel Google Play Pass in the Google Play Store app

Open the Google Play Store app.
Tap your profile picture at the top right.
Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Play Pass.
Tap Cancel subscription.

Before you cancel Google Play Pass

Your Play Pass subscription can be canceled at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
If you're on a free trial, you're only charged when the trial ends. Cancel before then to avoid the charge.
After the period ends you lose access to Play Pass content, in-app purchases return, ads may reappear and the Play Pass tab goes away. Any Gold level Google Play Points benefits may also end.
For a monthly subscription, Google may refund the cost of the month you canceled if you cancel within 48 hours of starting it and request a refund. It is not guaranteed.
On a family plan only the family manager can cancel for the group, and everyone loses access at the end of the same billing period.
Uninstalling an app doesn't cancel a subscription. See also /cancel/google-play.

After you cancel

Keep the confirmation email or screenshot. Then watch your bank or card for the next billing date: if Google Play Pass charges you again after you cancelled, ask Google Play Pass for a refund first, and if that fails, dispute the charge with your card.
